MultiMoxx offers a Chrome browser extension called MultiMoxx Snap. MultiMoxx Snap allows users to capture the webpage they are currently viewing and create device mockups, full-page screenshots, PNG files, and PDF files.
The privacy practices of the Chrome extension differ from those of the MultiMoxx website and Studio platform. Unless a user explicitly chooses to send a capture to MultiMoxx Studio, MultiMoxx Snap performs its normal screenshot capture, processing, framing, and export functions locally within the user’s browser.
When a user activates MultiMoxx Snap on a webpage, the extension may temporarily process information necessary to perform the requested capture, including:
The visual content of the webpage being captured
The URL and title of the active webpage
Page dimensions and scrolling information
The user’s selected device, capture mode, background, and presentation settings
Screenshot image data created by the extension
The extension does not require users to create an account or provide a name, email address, or other identifying information in order to use its standalone screenshot and mockup features.
MultiMoxx Snap does not maintain ongoing access to the websites a user visits. Its primary capture functionality is activated when the user clicks the extension and applies to the page on which the user has chosen to use it.
MultiMoxx Snap’s standard screenshot and mockup functionality is designed to operate locally within the user’s browser.
Captured screenshot images are temporarily stored within the extension’s local browser storage so they can be displayed in the extension’s composer and exported by the user. Captures are stored one at a time, with each new capture replacing the previous capture. Stored capture data is deleted when the browser next starts.
Certain user preferences, such as the last selected device, background, or padding settings, may also be stored locally using Chrome’s browser storage features.
The extension does not upload screenshots to MultiMoxx servers as part of its normal capture or export process.
MultiMoxx Snap does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral tracking within the extension.
The extension does not transmit browsing history, captured screenshots, or webpage content to an analytics provider or third-party advertising service as part of its standalone operation.
The extension’s code is packaged with the extension and does not load remote scripts or executable code from external servers.
MultiMoxx Snap includes an optional feature that allows users to send a capture into the separate MultiMoxx Studio web application.
This action occurs only when the user explicitly chooses Send to Studio. The extension does not automatically send captures to MultiMoxx Studio.
When a user chooses this feature, the capture is made available to the MultiMoxx Studio page through a limited browser-based handoff mechanism. The extension restricts this functionality to the authorized MultiMoxx Studio origin.
Once content is intentionally transferred into MultiMoxx Studio, the processing and storage practices applicable to the MultiMoxx Studio service are governed by the other provisions of this Privacy Policy.
MultiMoxx Snap includes an optional feature that may allow websites that normally block iframe embedding to be displayed within MultiMoxx Studio.
This feature is:
Disabled by default
Activated only at the user’s request
Limited to webpages embedded through MultiMoxx Studio
Restricted to subframe requests rather than normal top-level browsing
Dependent on additional browser permission that is requested only when the user enables the feature
The extension’s normal screenshot and mockup functionality does not require this optional permission.
When enabled, this feature may temporarily modify certain webpage security headers, including X-Frame-Options or Content-Security-Policy framing restrictions, solely for content being embedded through MultiMoxx Studio. It does not alter these protections for ordinary webpages the user browses outside of that functionality.
MultiMoxx Snap requests browser permissions only where needed to provide its functionality. These permissions may include the ability to:
Access the active tab after the user invokes the extension
Run scripts necessary to measure, scroll, prepare, and capture the selected webpage
Temporarily hide cookie banners, chat widgets, fixed overlays, and similar elements during capture
Store temporary capture data and user preferences locally
Save exported PNG or PDF files to the user’s computer
Enable the optional MultiMoxx Studio embedding feature when expressly activated by the user
The extension does not request permanent access to all webpages for its ordinary screenshot functionality.
To create cleaner screenshots, MultiMoxx Snap may temporarily modify the appearance or scrolling behavior of the webpage being captured. For example, the extension may temporarily hide cookie notices, chat widgets, fixed navigation elements, promotional overlays, or similar interface elements.
It may also trigger lazy-loaded images or temporarily adjust page scrolling to create a complete full-page screenshot.
These changes are performed only for purposes of generating the user’s requested capture and are intended to be restored after the capture process completes.
MultiMoxx does not sell data collected or processed through MultiMoxx Snap.
Information processed by the extension is not used for creditworthiness, lending decisions, targeted advertising, or unrelated purposes. The extension’s normal operation does not transmit browsing history or captured webpage content to third-party advertising or analytics providers.
